What can Manning's do to help with conservation?
As a Fishing Tackle Shop we should not only be doing our bit for the environment, but encouraging and educating our customers and suppliers aliketo do the same.
Recycle!
We encourage all of our customer to recycle their waste packaging. If need be, we will recycle it for them!
Our waste and recyclable material is seperated on site. The recyclable materials (cardboard/paper/plastic/flourescent tubes) are taken by Manning's truck to Dove Recycling where our material is taken care of by professional Recycling Waste Management experts, to be used again. Some cardboard is stored on site for use as packageing by fish2catch.com for any mail orders.
We will shortley be using Eco-friendly bags. The bags are biodigredable and compostable. Again we encourage customers to re-use their plastic bags if possible.
Our biodegradable waste is returned to the earth or composted.
We work closely with the Environment Agency to ensure we keep up the recycling standards. There is no legal legislation as yet that says we should be recycling, however we feel that we should be doing all we can for future preservation.
Get more information about what you can do for the envirnment from the Your Environment pages of the Environment agency website.
If you have any feedback regarding these issues or require help or information on what we are doing for the environmnet please email us or contact us by telephone on 023 92373 073.
