WHATS HOT AND WOTS NOT!!!

Hayling Island (Eastoke to Sandy Point) has been showing Bass in numbers, although mostly schoolies there is a smattering of 2-3lb fish amongst them.
Plaice although around, have not been giving themselves up easily with the odd fish coming from almost anywhere. Believe it or not Mackerel have shown in the Southsea area already! Rays and Smoothhounds already showing at Hillhead, Hayling and Selsey, with the hound sport only getting better as we move into May. Bream will soon be on the heels of these species and in no time at all everybody will be catching fish in numbers. The bigger tides will always provide the better catches but don't ignore the bottom of the tide at Hayling Island. For further news and reports, pick up your free copy of the Sea Angling News at our Widley and Hayling shops.
